I’ve been writing stories my whole life. Not short stories or novels, but true stories, mostly about what goes on in my brain, and in the darkest corners of my heart.

The stories I write are so true, I’ve been called an exhibitionist… a performance artist… as well as that most dubious of distinctions, memoirist.

I don’t know where it comes from. It’s not like I choose to write embarrassingly honest stories about myself. It’s just what happens when I sit down and pick up a pen — which is often.

See, the thing about a love story is that it doesn’t have to be lovey-dovey.

A love story doesn’t even have to have a happy ending. Or… any ending at all.

A love story is really just a true story that comes from your heart.

Sometimes, a love story is sweet. Sometimes, they’re sour. And sometimes, they’re salty to the point of outright contempt.

Such is the nature of love!
